Well, it's been one week, and I'm down two pounds. I didn't get in the work outs I had planned (only two resistance) and 1.5 walks (one was only a mile, the other probably about 2.5 miles.)
However, I think my diet was probably on the better side. I had some salads for lunch and dinner, and desserts were kept to a minimum (only a few). In addition, my snacks during the afternoon consisted mostly of nuts -- which I am told are healthier than Flaming Hot Cheetos (yeah, I don't believe it either).
So, I'm down to 212.5 lbs from 214.5 lbs. My initial goal is 200lbs. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if I can keep this up.
How about you? Anybody want to join me in my efforts to be healthier? If so, leave me a comment!
Congrats on your first week weight loss! Im not counting pounds, Im doing a "visual" and "feel" weight loss. I want to SEE a better me and I want to feel better in the process. I find I sabbotage my weight loss if I use the scale - it tells me I have been good so the evil voice in my head tells me its ok to be bad.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog from Colorado! I love food and wine too and I am grateful to have a husband who loves to cook and serve it to me with a great wine! (I do the grocery shopping and dishes in return - what a deal!)
Thanks for reading! How did you learn about my little blog?
ReplyDeleteI have been following you for about a year - I think I was just surfing blogs, or you were a blog of note, or a blog that followed a blog of note.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is fun and a great break to my day! Thanks!
Im not doing as well on my quest, but I am not giving up! I made beef tostadas with a black bean mango salsa for dinner last night - yummy and light!
